I, the procrastinator, am still working on her tax,
and the most of my weeknights were absorbed by IRS (technically.)
I hope I can really get done by tomorrow night, and file electronically during this weekend…
… is that all I can give you as an update?
That’s no good!
Besides… I have been thinking a lot,
A LOT using my creative department in my brain
(Right brain? Is it?)
Tonight, I will be at NB Lounge with Satoshi from 7:30 PM to 11PM.
The weather is awfully nice today, and I see no excuse left for you:
YOU MUST CATCH US at the lounge!
Have some refreshing pinot or two. We’ll serve you great music,
and you are all set!
This Saturday, the 20th, I will be at Langan’s with Joseph Lepore on bass
from 9:30 to 12:30.
Yes, I said BASS. It’s going to be Bass/Vocal Duo.
I have no idea how this will turn out, but it’s definitely one
of those “rare occasions.” Langan’s has no cover nor minimum.
It’s very casual and relaxed room. Please stop by!

Tomorrow – Yes, Monday again.
Everyone has 7 days in a week,
and everyone will have Monday after Sunday in order.
Many of us wish if we have one more day added to our weekend.
If Monday becomes a part of the weekend, Tuesday will become new Monday,
then, we will start to feel Tuesday isn’t welcomed as much as it used to be.
BUT
Is Monday really that bad?
I cannot answer for you to this question,
but I can say at least, we have music on Monday.
Hopefully we can add some delight to your Monday, and
make a nice entrance for Tuesday to grace the rest of your week…
I am writing this at 8:30 PM EST on Tuesday, April 13, 2010.
However, I will end up posting as Wednesday, March 3, 2010,
the day “Yuming Things” took place.
The reason why I am “sneakingly” and “retrospectively” posting this is quite simple.
I wasn’t sure if this is good enough to do or meaningful enough to post publicly.
To be quite honest, I still am not sure!?
HOWEVER!
although I was extremely nervous on that day and have underperformed technically
compared to my jazz performances in general
(juuuuuuust being self-critical as the way all good musicians are!),
I can say that I am still proud of what I have done
and want to appreciate wonderful musicians I have worked with
To those who couldn’t make it on March 3 due to the schedule conflict
or travel distance, I have decided to put “A HAPPY NEW YEAR” from that night up on my blog.
This song ended up to be one of new addition to my repertoire
that now I regularly sing at my jazz gigs – Toru and I do this song literally throwing
in between jazz standards. I love it. (= love singing with Toru’s piano.)
As a good memory of Satoshi being in New York,
I also put “Ano Hi Ni Kaeri Tai,” and this is a duo with Satoshi on guitar.
We both made mistakes (hahaha), but I still like it.
These video clips were taken by Takashi with iPhone 3G S.
I am telling you… I was surprised by the quality of pictures.
It was videoed from the 2nd floor, mezzanine level of the theater.
It’s not that close to the stage, but it captured well – I think.
Thank you for both Takashi and Steve Job’s gangs at Apple (LoL).
